Leading Japanese gym GUNZE SPORTS JAPAN flies in Master Trainers for exclusive fitness sessions

Phnom Penh, April 20: Leading Japanese gym GUNZE SPORTS JAPAN is treating its new and existing members to a unique wellness and health experience by flying in two internationally-acknowledged Master Trainers for exclusive sessions.

Master Trainers Ms. Waka Nagura and Mr. Izumi Hiratsuka will lead participants and offer expert advice and guidance on three Radical Programs - Oxigeno, Megadanz and Power, from April 26-28 at the gym in Borey Peng Huoth’s The Star Platinum Athina housing development.

Both Japan-based instructors have undergone years of specialized, intensive training and passed extensive examinations to be certified Radical Master Trainers.   The three programs are open to 20 participants per session. Existing members can take part in only one session while new sign-ups can participate in all three. Classes start at 6pm and end at 7pm, with schedules as follows:

  • Oxigeno: Ms. Nagura (April 26)
  • Megadanz: Ms. Nagura (April 27)
  • Power: Mr. Izumi Hiratsuka (April 28)

Registration is open from April 20 at the GUNZE SPORTS JAPAN reception desk.

“Megadanz is hard, but it provides a full workout by combining a number of dance genres,” said Ms. Nagura. “Aside from improving fitness and health, it also allows participants to master various styles and enjoy the real pleasure of dancing.”

Mr Hiratsuka echoed Ms. Nagura’s sentiments, adding that all Radical Programs centered on music that fit the intensity of each workout.

“Radical Power, for example, is aimed at improving muscular strength using barbells and plates in sync with specially selected songs,” he said. “The program itself comprises four effective formats, and it is possible to improve strength, muscle and cardiopulmonary endurance in a short period of time.”

Hideo Sato, the president of GUNZE SPORTS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD said both Master Trainers were flown in as a value-add service to members.

“Our trainers have the ability to accurately judge and provide guidance on the programs that match the needs and fitness level of each member,” he said. “We hope those who participate in our special sessions take full advantage of the knowledge and experience that our Master Trainers have honed over the years.”

Apart from bringing in the Master Trainers, GUNZE SPORTS JAPAN has updated programs for their Oxigeno, Fight-do, Megadanz and Ubound classes, employed new instructors for Hip Hop and Radical Power classes and installed a steam bath and sauna for women and men, respectively.

The gym offers a swimming pool, yoga and aerobic studios, training rooms and other facilities as well as 17 studio programs that include martial arts, yoga, dance, Pilates and swimming lessons for both adults and children. GUNZE SPORTS JAPAN also boasts experienced instructors, state-of-the-art equipment, advanced body calibration machines and one-on-one personal training on request.
